Expertly Crafted Designs for
Optimal User Experience

We understand the significance of ensuring a seamless user experience (UX) through a holistic design approach. Our team of experienced designers and UX specialists creates ergonomic and visually appealing products and services that enhance usability, functionality, and user satisfaction. We know that UX is key for your business value and profit.

"There is no User Experience Design  – it is the designed product, service or process that creates the user's experience."

User experience refers to the overall experience that a person has when using a product, system, or service. This includes expectations and anticipations before use and the experience after use. It encompasses all aspects of the user's interaction, incl. their emotions, attitudes, and perceptions.

Usability, on the other hand, specifically relates to how easy and efficient it is for users to accomplish their goals when interacting with a product or system. It involves designing interfaces and interactions in such a way that they are intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly.

At Lumod we help our clients with a holistic approach to UX that goes beyond digital design and interfaces to encompass the entire user journey. By considering the human experience as a whole, we seamlessly blend digital and physical aspects to create a cohesive and immersive experience.

Focusing on both, digital and physical UX, is crucial in today's interconnected world, where users need to seamlessly transition between interactions. Creating a frictionless integration of digital and physical experiences, results in increased efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction.

How to Create Great User Experience

1: Accessibility - This level focuses on ensuring that the user interface is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. It involves designing for screen readers, keyboard navigation, and providing alternative text for images.

2: Usability - Usability refers to how easily users can navigate and interact with the interface. It involves creating intuitive layouts, clear navigation menus, and minimizing errors or confusion in the user flow.

3: Desirability - Desirability is about creating a positive emotional response from the user towards the product or service. It involves incorporating appealing visuals, engaging content, and an overall aesthetic design that resonates with the target audience.

4: Utility - Utility refers to how effectively a product or service meets the user's needs and goals. It involves providing useful features, relevant content, and efficient functionality that aligns with user expectations.

5: Delight - Delight goes beyond meeting basic needs and aims to surprise and delight users. It involves incorporating unexpected elements or interactions that create moments of joy or satisfaction for the user.

UX is a Strategic Approach

From the overarching strategy to the intricate details of structure, raster, and surface, every decision made on one level directly influences the next. At the strategy level, careful planning and analysis lay the foundation for a user-centered design that aligns with business goals.

As we move to the next level, the scope and breadth of the project come into focus, determining the overall framework and functionality. The structure level then determines the logical flow and organization, ensuring intuitive navigation and ease of use.

As we dive deeper into the levels, the raster level defines the visual hierarchy and layout, optimally guiding the user's attention. Lastly, the surface level harmoniously combines aesthetics and usability, utilizing colors, typography, and interactive elements to captivate the user's senses.

It is through this holistic and interconnected approach that we create products and services with extraordinary experiences.

The decisions made at one level influence the decisions available at the next higher level. An arbitrary intervention at an upper level has consequences for the levels below because the dependencies cannot simply be resolved to ensure that the objectives are achieved.

Surface: finished product, as visible to the user
Skeleton: layout of navigation and functional elements
Structure: definition of the navigate through the experience
Scope: definition of all the features to be included
Strategy: definition of objectives to be met with the project
